Moses & Singer LLP, a mid-sized New York City law firm with a nationally recognized banking practice, is seeking a highly motivated Banking & Finance Associate with 4–6 years of experience to join its growing finance practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated, high-value transactions representing leading financial institutions in complex lending and letter of credit matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent and advise lenders and borrowers in a broad range of financing transactions
- Structure, negotiate, document, and close domestic and international transactions (syndicated and bilateral; secured and unsecured)
- Draft and negotiate credit agreements, reimbursement agreements, security agreements, intercreditor agreements, participation agreements, receivables purchase agreements, and related ancillary documents
- Analyze relevant issues under the UCC (including Articles 9, 5, 8, and 12) and the Bankruptcy Code
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school; admitted to the New York Bar
- 4–6 years of relevant law firm experience in banking and finance
- Strong background in lending (lender-side experience preferred) and familiarity with letters of credit
- Exposure to trade finance and/or fund finance is advantageous
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills; experience with AI tools is helpful.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Benefits
Annual base salary is between $180,000 and $200,000. The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience, skill set, and other requirements as set forth in the job description. Note that the salary range does not include the value of health, life, or other employer-provided insurance; paid or unpaid time off, such as sick or vacation days, or leaves of absence; contributions toward retirement or savings funds, such as 401(k) plans; commission; equity; or bonuses.
