Biography

John Baranello is both Managing Attorney of Moses Singer and Partner to its prestigious Litigation practice group. He has significant courtroom experience across a variety of matters in New York and New Jersey state and federal court.  John brings a high level of energy and attention to all aspects of a matter and strives to obtain practical results as efficiently as possible.

John’s practice is dedicated to business litigation. His clients span from world-class distributors of functional food ingredients to high level managers and distributors of medical sales devices. He handles contract claims, trade secret lawsuits, estate disputes, restrictive covenant litigations, and judgment enforcements.

Additionally, he counsels start-up businesses and helps individuals navigate through the early phases of new endeavors.

John is a proud graduate of Regis High School, where he was the recipient of the Timothy F. Beckett, Jr. Award, given to the student who best exemplifies the ideals of Christian service to others, leadership, the promotion of justice for all, and the pursuit of excellence that Dr. Timothy Beckett, Regis Class of ’66, embodied while at Regis and throughout his life. John was selected for inclusion in The 2026 Leading Litigators in America guide.

John is actively involved in several non-profit organizations:

A Need We Feed: Board Member of this Toms River, NJ-based non-profit that provides free meals to those in need, sourced from local sponsors.

First Tee – Raritan Valley Chapter: Board Member of this organization that supports golf clinics for junior golfers in New Jersey.

Cristo Rey – Brooklyn: Member of the Board of Trustees for this high school, which collaborates with corporate sponsors to offer transformative educational opportunities for students in Brooklyn.
