Biography

Henry J. Bergman’s practice focuses on litigation involving all aspects of real estate. Beyond this area, he concentrates on general civil trial and appellate litigation, construction law, real estate transactions and bankruptcy matters. He has a further focus in transactions and litigation involving artworks.

Henry acts as general counsel to several local and international enterprises and appears regularly before state and federal courts, administrative tribunals, arbitration panels and mediators on behalf of property owners and managers, tenants, developers, brokers, construction managers, contractors, lenders, investors, manufacturers. He also works with, among others, art dealers and insurers on matters concerning valuation.

Prior to joining Moses Singer, Henry spent thirteen years as the partner in charge of real estate litigation at a prominent New York firm concentrating in the representation of major real estate interests.

He also served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel of the City of New York from 1978-1980 and on the boards of not-for-profit organizations.
