It’s been a busy year for advertising regulation in New York. The FAIR Business Practices Act expanded the state’s consumer protection law to cover unfair and abusive practices, and ads featuring AI-generated performers now require a disclosure. The legislature also passed the One Fair Price Act, which would ban surveillance pricing.

Moses Singer partners Elizabeth Corradino and Robert Rosenberg authored the New York Trends and Developments chapter for the Chambers and Partners 2026 Advertising and Marketing Practice Guide, covering these changes and more, plus what New York businesses should expect heading into 2027.
