Toby Butterfield and William Tanenbaum Were Speakers in the Wall Street Technology Association "Unleashing AI" Conference
Toby Butterfield and William Tanenbaum were speakers at the WSTA "Unleashing AI: Shaping the Future of Financial Services" conference. They were the presenters of the "Moses Singer Chat: Using Hypotheticals to Highlight AI Risks."
The session provided practical information on how to avoid having third-party vendors do the following: disclose confidential information of clients and business partners that financial institutions are under a duty to protect; undermine a company’s competitive advantage, either inadvertently or by design, through incorporating company proprietary information into the vendor’s standard service offering; and jeopardize a financial institution’s compliance with regulatory privacy obligations by forcing the institution to rely on the privacy practices of the vendor rather than its own.
