Robert Rosenberg will be a speaking on a panel at The Digital Hollywood AI & Entertainment Summit titled, "AI & the Law: A “Deep Dive” - Fair Use, Copyright and the Doctrine of Innovation."

Although the 2023 Entertainment Guilds strike was resolved, concerns remain that artificial intelligence poses a serious threat to creative professions. In Hollywood, the debate centers on issues of compensation, data training and ownership, and especially creative control over AI-generated productions. Deepfake technology further fuels fears of misuse—ranging from political disinformation to revenge porn and IP violations. At the same time, many creatives highlight AI’s potential to drive innovation, expand educational access, and lower barriers to entry. This panel will explore these competing viewpoints and examine whether existing legal frameworks, such as right of publicity, copyright, and existing regulations, are sufficient to address this powerful technology.
