Biography
Daniel A. Hoffman is a litigator at Moses Singer with a focus on business, commercial and employment litigation. He has considerable courtroom experience briefing and arguing motions, handling appeals and navigating complex electronic discovery disputes. He has handled matters in state and federal courts throughout the country (including New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Minnesota), as well as in arbitration and mediation.
Daniel has represented corporate and individual clients in a variety of industries, including finance, real estate, healthcare, construction, entertainment, hospitality and apparel. He has significant experience litigating on behalf of a global real estate auction firm, a worldwide dental supply distributor, and an international food and beverage manufacturer. He litigates a range of business disputes including commercial torts, unfair competition, and business frauds, as well as matters concerning restrictive covenants, trade secrets, brokerage agreements and intellectual property.
Daniel has represented both employers and employees in disputes concerning employment agreements, non-competition and non-solicitation provisions, breach of fiduciary duties and discrimination in the workplace. He has also handled wage-based claims involving employee and executive compensation, and disputes concerning misappropriation of corporate trade secrets.
Daniel also maintains an active pro bono practice involving juveniles in immigration proceedings.
Prior to joining Moses Singer, Daniel graduated cum laude from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he was an Alexander Fellow and interned for the Honorable Colleen McMahon of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the Honorable Bernice D. Siegal of the New York State Supreme Court.
Daniel is included in the 2025 Lawdragon’s 500 X- The Next Generation List. He was named a Rising Star in the 2017 - 2025 New York Metro Super Lawyers®.
