June 16, 2020
To further the firm’s commitment to fostering a diverse, inclusive and compassionate environment, we are pleased to announce that Friday (June 19th ) the firm will be observing Juneteenth and our office will be closed.
Juneteenth is a day of celebration memorializing the official end of all slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865, enslaved black people in Texas learned that the Civil War had ended and that they were finally free, more than two years after the effective date of the Emancipation Proclamation.
We hope that everyone takes a moment out of their day to reflect on the issues around racism and its impact on our country today.
