Howard A. Fischer was quoted in an July 1, 2022 Law.com article that discussed the Supreme Court’s recent decision limiting the Environmental Protection Agency’s authority to regulate greenhouse gas emissions and the broader impact of narrowing federal agencies’ regulatory authority more generally.

“In short, it now appears likely that SCOTUS will determine that disclosure rules regarding climate risk fall outside the SEC’s statutory remit absent a more explicit congressional directive,” Mr. Fischer said.
