Devika Kewalramani will be a speaker at PLI’s Outsourcing 2022: Fundamentals, Key Issues and Best Practices program at the session titled, Ethical Issues in Negotiating Sourcing Deals – Hypotheticals, to be held on October 21, 2022 from 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. The ethics presentation will focus on the unique legal ethics issues impacting outsourcing practitioners. The speaker will analyze select ethical issues that arise in negotiating sourcing deals, including the following:
- Duty of confidentiality
- Lawyer’s role as advocate
- Candor and truthfulness
- Limits on communications with adverse parties
- Multijurisdictional negotiation and the unauthorized practice of law
