William A. Tanenbaum co-chaired PLI's Artificial Data Law and AI 2025 conference and led a panel titled, "Data Transactions: Licensing, Commercializing and Leveraging Data in Corporate Transactions." 

Data is now one of the most valuable—and riskiest—business assets. Poor data undermines AI, while its use creates new legal risks and opportunities. As companies adopt AI and fine-tune models with proprietary data, they must rethink how data is managed, licensed, and protected. Understanding data flows, usage, and commercialization is now critical.

This program uses a real-world case study to explore the full data lifecycle, highlight key legal issues in AI and data governance, and offer practical strategies to reduce risk and unlock value.
