Howard A. Fischer is Quoted in a Bloomberg Law Article titled "SEC Expected Focus in 2025"
Howard Fischer shared insights on the SEC's anticipated focus areas for 2025 in a recent article titled "SEC Expected Focus in 2025," published by Bloomberg Law. Howard spoke about his time at the SEC under President Barack Obama and the President Donald Trump (in his first term). Howard noted that under Obama, the SEC was active in the post-credit crisis misconduct. He suggests that the SEC will possibly stop bringing cryptocurrency enforcement actions pending congressional authorization to draft crypto-specific rules. He states “ultimately, law enforcement is reactive. If tomorrow a major bank collapses, or a major crypto exchange, or multiple crypto exchanges have significant problems, that’s going to be the priority, regardless of what the political issues are."
