"The trusts have been criticized in the past as a way to let some wealthy people shield themselves unfairly. But Gideon Rothschild, a partner at New York law firm Moses & Singer, and a known expert in the field, says there is a distinct trend to accepting the trusts now. That will only speed up if a few big states 'come on board' in the next few years. Illinois and Texas are possibilities, he adds."
