Moses & Singer's Litigation Group Successfully Obtain Post-Trial Judgment in Excess of $5 Million

October 30, 2018

A Moses & Singer litigation team led by David Lackowitz recently obtained a post-trial judgment in excess of $5 million on behalf of certain foreign-based lenders. The underlying matter concerned a substantial mixed-use construction project in Williamsburg, Brooklyn which had been funded by investors and lenders, including our firm's clients. Having previously obtained judgments against an assetless shell entity, Moses & Singer was able to pierce that entity's corporate shell and hold its principal personally liable pursuant to an alter ego/veil piercing theory.
