Moses & Singer Triumphs in Defense

August 23, 2006

Moses & Singer has obtained summary judgment for its client Johnson Electric, defeating numerous patent infringement claims asserted by Johnson's principal competitor in the by-pass vacuum cleaner motor market. Of the three United States patents asserted, Moses & Singer attorneys persuaded the federal court for the District of Connecticut to declare one patent invalid and the remaining two patents not to have been infringed. This outcome represents a complete victory and vindication for Johnson Electric in a very lengthy, complex and contentious proceeding.
