Moses & Singer Scores Win in Second Circuit

July 17, 2017

In July 2017 the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit unanimously upheld a District Court's decision to grant summary judgment to Moses & Singer's client, Northern Leasing Systems, Inc., thereby bringing to a close over 6 years of litigation in which the plaintiff alleged 12 claims including under RICO and federal and state Fair Credit Reporting Acts. The lower court found the plaintiff had utterly failed to produce any evidence which would enable a jury to find against our client. In fact the District Court found the allegations were frivolous and the case should never have been brought. M&S attorney Robert D. Lillienstein was primarily responsible for the winning briefs, supported by his M&S colleagues, Arnold N. Bressler and Scott E. Silberfein.
