Moses & Singer Names Five New Firm Partners

Moses & Singer is pleased to announce that Shari A. Alexander, Jason Canales, Kerrie C. Horrocks, Kent C. Kolbig and Deborah L. Shapiro have been made partners of the firm.

Shari A. Alexander is a member of the firm's Litigation and Intellectual Property practices as well as the Labor, Employment and Employee Benefits practice.  She works on a broad range of commercial litigation and employment matters.  An accomplished flutist, Shari served as Committee Chair for the New York City Bar Association's Chamber Music Committee.  Most recently she achieved Rising Star status in the 2014 Metro Edition of New York Super Lawyers®. 

Jason Canales is a member of the firm's Securities Litigation and White Collar Criminal Defense and Government Investigations practice.  He represents companies and individuals in securities and commercial litigations, and in investigations conducted by the US Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the New York Attorney General's Office, as well as other federal and state agencies.  Jason has been recognized each year since 2011 as a Rising Star in the New York Metro Super Lawyers®.

Kerrie C. Horrocks is a member of the firm's Trusts and Estates and Asset Protection practice groups.  She focuses on domestic and international estate planning for high net worth individuals and families, creating tax-efficient estate plans that integrate asset protection objectives, including protection from creditors and divorce. She also works with fiduciaries in all aspects of estate administration.  In 2014 Kerrie was named as a New York Super Lawyers® Rising Star. 

Kent C. Kolbig is a member of the Business Reorganization, Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights and Corporate Trust groups. He represents financial institutions in Chapter 11 and related proceedings with particular experience representing indenture trustees in complex domestic and international insolvency proceedings. In addition, Kent represents creditors' committees and senior and junior secured lenders in connection with subordination and intercreditor agreements.

Deborah L. Shapiro is a member of Moses & Singer's Intellectual Property practice group, guiding diverse businesses in the clearance, procurement and exploitation of their intellectual property rights.  Among her clients are household names in the world of sports, entertainment, media, banking, casino and other industries.
