Moses & Singer LLP Pro Bono Team Achieves Another Victory on Behalf of Unaccompanied Minor

June 9, 2020

Moses & Singer attorneys have once again been successful in securing Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) for an El Salvadorian minor, who entered the country after he was abandoned by his parents and forced to flee his home due to gang violence.  Obtainment of SIJS will allow for termination of removal proceedings against him and application for a green card so that he can remain in the U.S. legally.

Moses & Singer took on this representation in partnership with Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), a national organization that advocates for the rights of unaccompanied migrant and refugee children in the U.S.

The Moses & Singer team handling this pro bono matter was led by Shari A. Alexander and included Viktoria Dallendorfer and Eliza Barrocas.
