Elizabeth A. Corradino and Myka W. Todman recently attended the 31st Annual Promotion Marketing Law Conference in Chicago. During the conference, Myka led an expert roundtable titled, “Best Voting Practices in User Generated Contest Promotions.” One of the more well-attended programs, the roundtable focused on promotion law basics including user generated contests, submission of videos and other materials by entrants, voting considerations in connection with expert judges and the public, and risk management techniques. Liz and Myka also authored an article specifically for the conference entitled "User Generated Content: A Dream or a Nightmare." The article reveals issues related to consumers creating contentgenerally. Click here to see the complete article.
This year's conference was attended by over 500 delegates which is a major feat considering the slow economy. The Promotion Marketing Law Conference is one of the, if not the, premier conference for companies who engage in promotions and lawyers in the promotions law field.
