Moses & Singer LLP, a New York City-based law firm, announced today that Julian S. Millstein will become Special Counsel to the firm. He and Moses & Singer will collaborate on IT, Outsourcing, e-Commerce, Cloud Computing and other matters.
A founder of the pioneering New York information technology law boutique Brown Raysman & Millstein, Mr. Millstein has 45 years experience in business, technology and law, and, for the past three years, served as Senior Counselor in the Technology Transactions and Global Sourcing groups in the New York office of Morrison & Foerster LLP, a global law firm with over 1,000 attorneys.
Mr. Millstein is the only attorney in the US rated as a “Senior Statesman” in the fields of Technology and Outsourcing Law by the international attorney ranking publications Chambers Global and Chambers USA.
“Moses & Singer is a perfect fit. I can assist them in counseling their select group of clients, and they have the depth and experience to provide my clients a wide range of services. For years I have known several lawyers at Moses & Singer, and have tremendous respect for them and their abilities. I look forward to collaborating with the firm while also pursuing my principal interest in advancing the use of alternative dispute resolution in the IT, e-Commerce and Outsourcing areas. Although I have thoroughly enjoyed my years at Morrison & Foerster, where I co-led the firm’s worldwide initiative in Cloud Computing law and helped the firm attain the rank as one of the top ten Sourcing Advisors in the world, my focus on providing neutral ADR services is more consistent with my association with a firm of Moses & Singer's size,” said Millstein.
Alan Kolod, the Chairman of Moses & Singer said, “We are very pleased that Julian, given his stature in outsourcing and technology law, has chosen to associate with us. This association is evidence of our commitment to providing our clients unsurpassed talent and expertise. The addition of Julian enhances our already outstanding Intellectual Property, Global Outsourcing and Procurement, and Internet/Technology practice groups."
Mr. Millstein will continue to provide neutral mediation and arbitration services through Julian S. Millstein ADR Services and maintain a separate legal practice.
