James Alterbaum addressed a group of executives at a seminar entitled, "Food & Beverage Marketing: Significant Issues in 2014 and Beyond" on September 16, 2014. Sponsored by the Knowledge Group LLC, the seminar focused on regulatory requirements, potential litigation landmines and planning considerations for major liquidity events, mergers and acquisitions unique to the food industry.
"In the past year, we have seen substantial M &A activity in the F &B industry, with particular interest in organics, specialty items and foods with health-related benefits. Strategic buyers are coming forward with increased valuations for innovative companies," noted Jim. "Those businesses with distinctive promises and strong brand recognition on social media may now be in a stronger position to find opportunities."
