Gideon Rothschild Named Vice-Chair by American Bar Association

Moses & Singer LLP is pleased to announce that Gideon Rothschild has been elected Vice-Chair of the American Bar Association’s Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Section. As Vice-Chair, Gideon will lead the Trust & Estate Division, which represents approximately 12,000 members, in the development and implementation of policy, promotion of the rule of law and advocate for changes in the law.  He will also support the Section’s pro bono efforts and continuing education programs to the bar and the public. Well-respected in the field of trusts and estates, Gideon heads the firm’s Trusts and Estates and Asset Protection practice groups which earned the firm the honor of Private Client/Wealth Management Firm of the Year USA for 2011 by Finance Monthly Magazine. Gideon’s practice is focused in the areas of domestic and international estate planning and asset protection, including the use of sophisticated estate planning techniques in the representation of high-net-worth individuals. He distinguishes himself from his peers by educating his clients on the non-tax benefits available with trusts and other vehicles to achieve both tax savings and wealth preservation. A frequent lecturer and author on asset protection and estate planning for the cross-border client, Gideon is the recipient of several honors and awards, including “America’s Leading Lawyers for Wealth Management” by Chambers USA and “Top 100 Attorneys” serving private clients by Worth/Robb Report. Gideon was also distinguished with a listing in The Best Lawyers in America in the area of Trusts and Estates, and for the past five years, he has been listed in New York Super Lawyers®. Gideon was also nominated by in-house counsel and his peers for Euromoney’s Guide to the World’s Leading Trust & Estate Practitioners for 2011. He is the incoming vice-chair of the Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Section of the American Bar Association, Treasurer of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) – U.S. and a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.
