Practitioners consider efficacy of key asset protection tool in uncertain legal environment
Gideon Rothschild, chair of the firm's Trusts & Estates and Asset Protection practice, led a panel discussion at the University of Miami Law School's Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning on January 14, 2015 in Orlando, FL. Heckerling is considered the national gathering place for estate planners, including attorneys, trust officers, accountants, insurance advisors, and wealth management professionals and had a record 3,000 attendees. His session was entitled "Asset Protection Trusts Under Attack – Views from the Bench and Bar" focused on Domestic Asset Protection Trusts (DAPT).
