NY, NY 10023

Devika Kewalramani will participate in a panel presenting arbitration professional responsibility and ethical issues in the format of an Arbitration Ethics Hotline.  The session will be modeled after the actual NYC Bar Ethics Hotline, where practitioners faced with ethical questions regarding their own prospective conduct can call.  The purpose of the Arbitration Ethics Hotline will be to provide informal guidance to callers in accordance with the relevant rules of professional responsibility, advisory opinions, statutes, arbitration rules and ethical canons.  Hypothetical questions and issues will be presented to the panelists, who will be playing the role of volunteers staffing the Hotline as practitioners experience in professional ethics and arbitration.   The event is sponsored by the New York State Bar Association Dispute Resolution Section and will take place at the Fordham University School of Law, 3:30 - 4:30 PM.
