Moses & Singer Sponsors Privacy Program with Fordham for International Attorneys

On July 20, 2012, over 40 international attorneys attended a program hosted by Moses & Singer entitled “Recent Developments in U.S. Law: Privacy and Information Technology.” Jill E. Anderson and Amyt M. Eckstein, attorneys in the firm’s Privacy and Cybersecurity Group, took part in Fordham University School of Law’s weeklong series of programs designed for international attorneys seeking exposure to current issues in U.S. business law. Jill discussed the fundamentals of U.S. privacy laws, including HIPAA and HITECH, and the steps organizations doing business in the U.S. should take to comply with applicable privacy laws. Amyt discussed recent developments in U.S. privacy law, the new FTC Privacy Framework, COPPA, and the FTC’s Endorsement Guidelines as they relate to mobile apps, blogging, social media and consumer reviews.
