American Bar Association - RPTE Non-Tax Issues Group
February 1, 2018
Why do the best laid plans sometimes go awry? The speakers will use two case studies to review (i) an estate plan that may be recommended to freeze the value of highly appreciating assets for estate tax savings and (ii) a prenuptial agreement implemented to protect wealth in the context of a second marriage. While these plans work perfectly in a vacuum, our clients are real people with real lives and the speakers will look at the personality traits and family dynamics that may work to derail even the best laid plans.
Carole M. Bass will be presenting, along with other speakers, "It's Not All About Taxes: How Family Dynamics Can Make a Good Estate Plan Go Bad" on Thursday, February 1st.
