Gideon Rothschild & Devika Kewalramani To Participate In COVID-19's Ethical and Legal Practice Implications CLE

Gideon Rothschild (moderator) & Devika Kewalramani (panelist) will participate in a CLE offered by the New-York Historical Society’s Planned Giving Advisory Council entitled 'COVID-19's Ethical and Legal Practice Implications'. This CLE will be on Thursday, October 22nd, 2020 at 2PM.

The panelists will spot the key ethical risks presented in these tumultuous times by examining the duties of supervision, competence, communication and confidentiality, with a focus on lawyer incapacity and the need to protect client property. They will also highlight the relevant rules of professional conduct and bar association guidance and suggest practical solutions to avoid ethical violations. The panelists will also discuss what law firms need to do to accommodate virtual legal practice, the advantages and challenges to virtual legal practice, and what changes in law have permitted virtual practice to flourish.
