Zaid Shukri focuses his law practice on commercial litigation and intellectual property.

Zaid represents clients in state and federal courts, arbitrations, and other alternative dispute resolution procedures throughout the United States.  He has represented individuals and companies in various industries, including media, apparel, music, construction, electronics, entertainment, finance, fashion, sports, healthcare, and real estate.  He has litigated cases involving contract disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, veil-piercing and alter-ego liability, fraudulent transfers, copyright and trademark infringement, and unfair competition.  Zaid has represented media and apparel companies in copyright and trademark disputes.  He has represented both employers and employees in disputes concerning employment agreements, consultant agreements, non-compete and non-solicitation clauses, termination of employment, sexual harassment, and discrimination in the workplace.

In the area of intellectual property, Zaid assists clients in developing strategies to maximize and protect their copyrights, particularly in content appearing on websites, blogs and social media.  Zaid also has experience advising clients in transactions involving the licensing of copyrights and trademarks.

Zaid graduated from Brooklyn Law School, where he was a Fellow in the Center for the Study of International Business Law.  During law school, he interned for the Honorable Charles E. Ramos of the New York State Supreme Court Commercial Division and participated in the Brooklyn Law Incubator & Policy Clinic.  He joined Moses & Singer in 2013 after working at the firm as a summer associate in 2011.
