Robert D. Argen is a member of the firm’s Litigation and Intellectual Property practice groups.  His work covers a range of subject areas, including commercial litigation and arbitration, intellectual property litigation, employment litigation, government investigations, and technology transactions.  Industries served include financial services, fintech, technology, real estate, healthcare, consumer products, and entertainment.  Robert also has significant in-house counsel experience providing IP protection advice and negotiating technology, infrastructure, and market data agreements, gained during a secondment in the Legal Department of a global investment bank.  Prior to his career in law, Robert worked in corporate finance for three years.

Robert is an active member of the Arbitration Committee of the New York City Bar Association, serving as coordinator of the City Bar’s annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Pre-Moot.

During law school, Robert served as judicial intern to Judge Debra Freeman of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and Executive Notes & Comments Editor of the Brooklyn Journal of International Law.  He was also a fellow in the Dennis J. Block Center for the Study of International Business Law and a member of the Moot Court Honor Society.
