Robert McFarlane is a litigation associate at Moses & Singer. His practice focuses on commercial litigation and white collar criminal defense and investigations.
Robert has briefed and argued cases in various state and federal courts as well as in arbitration. His litigation experience spans a wide range of topics, including contract disputes, tort law, criminal law, and nearly all phases of state and federal jurisdiction.
Notably, Robert represented a prominent individual in the Trump-Russia investigation involving hearings before multiple Congressional subcommittees; he successfully defended the founders of a hedge fund in an all-or-nothing ownership dispute; and he obtained total dismissal in the Southern District of New York of narcotics trafficking charges carrying a mandatory minimum of 10 years’ imprisonment.
Robert has additional experience advising institutional clients on letter of credit transactions and bankruptcy-related matters. He also has extensive experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry.
Robert has been recognized as a Rising Star in New York Metro Super Lawyers® every year since 2016 and was named to the inaugural list of The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch (2021 Edition).
