Francesco Di Pietro has been practicing law for more than two decades during which he has essentially become a partner to his clients, providing counsel in connection with numerous aspects of their businesses.  Francesco, a businessman himself, truly understands his clients’ business and legal needs, and is guided by his desire to limit, or even avoid, litigation when possible, in order to achieve clients’ goals with minimum legal expense.  However, when necessary, Francesco will tirelessly advocate for his clients in state and federal courts throughout the United States.  Francesco specializes in international and domestic litigation and arbitration of business-related disputes.  Many of Francesco’s cases are litigated simultaneously in several jurisdictions including European and United States Courts.

Francesco’s litigation and arbitration practice includes:

  • representation of corporate shareholders/directors/officers;
  • corporate dissolution;
  • debt collection;
  • enforcing and defending the enforcement of foreign judgments in the United States;
  • creditor/debtor’s rights and obligations;
  • real estate matters;
  • actions for unfair competition and other business torts;
  • disputes concerning commercial contracts;
  • employment related matters, including misclassification of workforce; 
  • trademark infringement and IP-related disputes;
  • maritime, logistics and transportation law. 

Additionally, Francesco has extensive experience on negotiation and preparation of various business contracts, including licenses, agency and distribution agreements, commercial leases and warehousing and logistics agreements.

Francesco also acts as outside general counsel to several domestic as well as foreign business entities with interests in the United States.  Francesco has provided legal assistance to numerous start-ups, guiding them from inception through substantial growth.
