Barry S. Zone is a partner at Moses & Singer whose practice focuses on commercial, civil and criminal litigation, with an emphasis on securities and white-collar criminal defense as well as appeals in federal and state courts.

Mr. Zone began his legal career as a prosecutor in New York City as an Assistant District Attorney in Kings County (Brooklyn), New York.  He prosecuted Felony cases including serious street-crimes to high-level white collar crimes, including joint prosecutions with the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York. He left the District Attorney's Office to enter private practice. Since that time, he has provided aggressive and personalized representation to individuals charged with crimes in federal and state courts throughout the United States and local courts throughout the State of New York, as well as having provided representation to clients involving national security and within the state and federal intelligence community.  In the New York State courts, he has tried criminal matters all over the state.  He is routinely admitted pro hac vice in various jurisdictions including New Jersey, Florida, California, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Colorado, Washington State, New Hampshire and Ohio.

Mr. Zone has also successfully briefed and argued appeals in the New York State appellate courts, as well as in the United States Courts of Appeals, in New York and across the country. 

In the federal courts, Barry Zone has represented and tried cases for individuals charged with wire fraud, mail fraud, bank fraud, healthcare fraud, labor benefits and construction fraud, money laundering and numerous other serious criminal violations of the Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organization (RICO) laws as well as major national and international narcotics crimes.

He teaches advanced trial techniques, white collar criminal defense, and federal practice to other lawyers in Continuing Legal Education seminars.  

He has been a subject of print news and magazines, and his cases have been printed in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Business Week, numerous New York City and local newspapers. 

He is also a member of other legal bar associations, including the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, and the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
