Many Exempt Workers Will Now Be Eligible to Receive Overtime As a Result of a New DOL Rule

Many employees not previously entitled to overtime must now be paid time and half for hours worked beyond 40 hours a week as a result of a newly promulgated rule by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). The “Final Rule” is expected to affect more than four million workers and goes into effect December 1, 2016.
