This article focuses on the growing trend of attorney advertising via internet coupon websites. It highlights how "deal-of-the-day" marketing activities may impact a lawyer's compliance with the rules of professional conduct, analyzes the treatment of the ethical issues by the ABA, New York and other state bar associations, and seeks to inform and caution lawyers regarding potential ethical problems and pitfalls if coupon programs are not carefully structured and operated.
