High school students from the Bronx School of Law and Finance participated in mock interviews recently to help prepare them for summer internships. Andrew Oliver hosted the students whose interviewers included Elizabeth A. Corradino, Robert Lillienstein, Vincent Mazzocco, Lindsay Kaplan, JoAnna Nicholson, Lonnie McKinstry and Sheryl Miller. The students, who have limited exposure to the business world, were critiqued on their interviewing skills and the content of their resumes. Andrew is a member of the school’s Advisory Board, where he provides faculty and students with his insights on the white-collar business world and how best to prepare for it.
One of the school's mock interview participants from last year, Erika Diaz, returned to us as a summer intern with the conflicts group. Her experience, both as an intern and through firm interactions like the mock interview program, has provided her with exceptional experience outside of the classroom itself and definitely inspired her towards a legal career. Andrew proudly reports that Erika will be attending the College of Saint Rose in Albany in the fall, with very substantial financial scholarship awards.
