Moses & Singer LLP, in association with the Hofstra Labor & Employment Law Journal ("Journal"), hosted nearly 70 guests for a half-day symposium on "How Best to Avoid Wage & Hour Audits and Lawsuits." The event -- held on May 3, 2012 at the Hofstra University Club -- drew restaurant owners, managers and their advisors from across the New York area. It was a well-received event, with many commenting on the valuable information obtained from the panelists' presentation.
Panelists included: Carmine Ruberto, Director of the Division of Labor Standards of the New York State Department of Labor; Irv Miljoner, Director of the Long Island District Office of the Wage and Hour Division of the United States Department of Labor; Max Schlan and Joey Pegram, Symposium Editor and Managing Editor, respectively, of the Journal; and Moses & Singer partners James Alterbaum, Avi Skoff and David Feldman.
