Moses & Singer Obtains Dismissal Of Multi-million Dollar Claim To Cosby Show Profits

March 13, 2017

David Rabinowitz, a partner at Moses & Singer, obtained dismissal of a multi-million dollar claim to the profits from The Cosby Show.   Hwesu Murray, a former employee of NBC, the network where The Cosby Show was first broadcast, attempted to resurrect a claim originally made in the 1980s that he originated the idea for The Cosby Show. Based on previous decisions, including a dismissal of his original claims obtained by Moses & Singer in the 1980s, Judge Amon of the federal court in Brooklyn refused permission for the filing of the action and dismissed it with prejudice.
