David Feldman Receives Samuel M. Kaynard Award for Excellence in Labor and Employment Law

Moses & Singer is pleased to announce that David B. Feldman, a partner in the firm’s Labor, Employment and Employee Benefits Group, was honored with the 2012 Samuel M. Kaynard Award for Excellence in the Fields of Labor & Employment Law. This annual Award was presented to David on April 11, 2012 at a ceremony conducted by the Hofstra Labor & Employment Law Journal, one of only two law school reviews in the United States devoted exclusively to the scholarly analysis of labor and employment law issues. In so honoring David with this Award, the Journal noted: “We recognize and honor your strong ideals, accomplishments, keen legal acumen and contributions to the field of labor law.”

David, who last year served as President of the New York City Chapter of the Labor and Employment Relations Association, represents employers in various industries, including hospitality, finance, construction and manufacturing. David frequently lectures and has written extensively on employment discrimination and wage and hour laws and regulations in New York.

About the Samuel M. Kaynard Award for Excellence

The Samuel M. Kaynard Award for Excellence is named to honor the life and legacy of Samuel M. Kaynard, a former Regional Director of the National Labor Relations Board and nationally recognized labor law expert and academician. Previous recipients include: Dr. Harry Wu, Nobel Peace Prize nominee and Executive Director of the Laogai Research Foundation; Samuel Estreicher, the Dwight D. Opperman Professor of Law at the New York University School of Law and Chief Reporter of the Restatement on Employment Law; Spencer Lewis, former Director of the New York District Office of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission; and Eric J. Schmertz, former Dean and Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Law at the Hofstra University School of Law.
