Alexandra Kolod is an associate in the firm's Litigation practice group.  She represents individual and corporate clients in all aspects of commercial litigation, from discovery through judgment and appeals.  Alex represents clients in New York state and federal courts, as well as in arbitrations and mediations.

Before working at Moses & Singer, Alex was an associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP for four years where she practiced general corporate litigation.  While at Kirkland & Ellis, in addition to representing corporate clients, Alex represented pro bono clients in cases involving asylum, civil rights, equal protection, due process, and Title IX issues.

While in law school, Alex co-chaired OutLaw, the law school's LGBT student group, and served as a student board member of the Lesbian and Gay Bar Associate of Chicago.  She also worked as a research/conference assistant and as a student correspondent for the University of Chicago Faculty Blog.  In recognition of her service, Alex received the Ann Watson Barber Outstanding Service Award for Exceptional Contribution to the Quality of Life at the University of Chicago Law School at graduation.

Alex is recognized as a Rising Star in the 2017 New York Metro Super Lawyers®.
